Wonderful weekend stay. Right on the plaza. Well appointed room with a spacious balcony overlooking the plaza Loved cocktails at the bar and great food at the restaurant and had a great breakfast as well
Great location, wonderful service, very clean and comfy room. This is a perfect spot to be at the heart of Sonoma. Free parking in the back. Safe location traveling with our young kids.
I had a wonderful two-night stay at the El Dorado Hotel in Sonoma. The updated rooms with modern finishes were stylish, comfortable, and made the stay especially enjoyable. The front desk staff were welcoming and set the tone with a complimentary glass of local wine at check-in. One of my favorite touches was returning to the room after an evening out to find salted chocolates waiting—such a thoughtful detail. It’s those little extras that make this hotel stand out and a place I’ll gladly return to on future visits.
Excellent hospitality! The hotel reached out in advance to help coordinate a special welcome for our anniversary trip, which was such a thoughtful touch. Pablo was very warm and provided great local recommendations that we really enjoyed. The building has plenty of charm and character, though being older, it does let some sound travel. It’s also at a busy intersection, so you can hear a bit of street noise. Overall, a charming, clean hotel in a fantastic location right in the square.
Had a wonderful time Saturday night at your establishment. In Sonoma from out of town to celebrate my grandparents anniversary. The food was delicious. My steak was perfectly prepared. We had 3 course and our server Mel executed it perfectly. She made my grandparents feel special and took really good care of us. When I visit again we will definitely be coming here.
We loved El Dorado. It’s been recently renovated and the rooms are super comfy and exquisite. Such a great place to stay in Sonoma that is walkable to many great restaurants, shops and tasting rooms. We can’t wait to visit again.
Central to the Plaza. Traveling with bicycle and they let me store it in the events room that wasn't being used while I was staying. Very clean, very updated, the bathroom was spot on. Lavazza coffee maker. Little coffee stand down the hall with two chairs and a table, and another down by the main desk. My only thing is they should probably have some cookies or something with the coffee..!
Had an amazing stay here despite losing my keys in the park while visiting. The staff, especially Elisa, were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and the restaurant was delicious. Will definitely stay again!
